The Nerd on the Street Summer Stargate Challenge (abbreviated as Summer SG Challenge or just SG Challenge) was a Minecraft let's play series on the NOTS Entertainment channel. It took place over the summer of 2013.

The series revolved around a competition between two teams: the City-Dwellers (Brett and Iain) and the Stargate-Goers (Jacob, Adam, and at some points, Melinda, Kirsten, and Chris.) The premise of the series was created by an argument between Jacob and Brett over whether or not the Stargate mod was useful when playing cooperative multiplayer Minecraft. Brett argued that everything in Minecraft could be done in a small location, so the Stargates were not needed for gameplay. Jacob argued that having different facilities in different locations made it easier to collect resources and make large builds without affecting existing structures.

Most episodes followed the Stargate-Goers through their building, although a few special episodes showed the City-Dwellers' progress. (Jacob claimed that this put the Stargste-Goers at a disadvantage, as the City-Dwellers could see what they were building.)

Throughout the series, YouTube commenters said who they thought were winning (the criteria simply being who is building the best city/network of facilities, functionally or visually.) At the end of the series, a voting thread was created on the Nerd on the Street forums for viewers to determine a winner. (Please add results here)
