up and down arrows

Just  bought a new laptop with Widows 11 installed BUT not Microsoft Office so decided to instal Libre which lacks a few tricks like assigning keyboard shortcuts though I -as yet- have not found that feature.  Another thing that seems to be a default setting is when I hit the down key the page indexes multiple line, can this be set to only move one line at a time please? Delighted to have stumbled on this forum as other queries are bound to crop up as I explore the features of Libre.  Thanks Dave
