problem

What should I do or what is wrong when the scan of a DVD gets hung up at 50%?

Hm… to start, are you sure there is no physical damage to the DVD? Also, when you say scan, do you mean when you're first loading the DVD into Handbrake, or when you're actually trying to rip a track?
